Well, i've tried it a few times but tonight was the best turn out so here is an old favourite translated into thermomix style.
Ingredients;
almost a litre of long life soy milk
50g plain flour
50g butter
sprinkle nutmeg
salt to taste
60g parmesan, pulverised
425g tin of tuna, drained
400g tin of chick peas, drained
half a 440g tin of pineapple pieces, drained
about two handfuls of frozen diced vegies - use up the rest of the space left in the bowl
a good squeeze of lemon juice
Method
Add 500g milk, flour, butter, nutmeg and salt to bowl and set to 90deg, speed 4 for 7 minutes.
Add the rest of the ingredients and set to 90deg, reverse and speed 3 for 30 minutes or until everything's heated through (I always get distracted and not sure how long that bit actually takes cos i reset the timer every now and then!).
Serve with pasta, rice, toast, freeze for later use, This is a good recipe to sneak some goodness into the kids via cheese.
I can't believe how many visits this blog entry gets. I really should post recipes for all our old aussie favourites and jazz them up with a photo. Feel free to leave a comment!
